The US seems to be increasingly worried that its watchdog in the Middle East is slipping the leash on the question Iran.
The Israeli chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi is in the US this week to talk about how to deal with the perceived threat of a nuclear Iran.
But before the visit begins the head of the US armed forces, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Michael Mullen has warned off the Israelis from the attack option without it first being cleared by the US:
"option generates a much higher level of risk in terms of outcomes in the region and it really concerns me."
