Visteon workers mass picket, Tuesday 6am to stop machinery being shipped out

The Visteon workers ended their occupation on Saturday but the fight goes on. There is a 24 picket outside the factory with caravans, gazebos and barbecues providing a good base. Visteon directors are flying to London for talks on Tuesday.

Solidarity continues to pour in – several collections of £50-60 came in on Saturday and a collection was organised outside the Spurs home game. A delegation spoke at the NUT conference to huge applause and a massive collection. Two Ford showrooms faced protest actions over the weekend. This fight is far from over!

On Tuesday at 6.30am the administrators have called 17 Visteon employees to come back to the factory. They are  expected to start dismantling machines prior to shipping them out. To stop this the workers have called for a mass picket on Tuesday morning from 6.00am. This is important, please make every effort to be there.
