GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israel launched an airstrike east of Gaza City early Tuesday, injuring three people, a medical official said.
Ashraf al-Qudra, the spokesman of the ministry of health in Gaza, told Ma’an that two civilians were seriously wounded and another in a critical condition after a car was targeted in the al-Shujaiyeh district of Gaza City.
The Israeli army said that it had targeted a "Hamas terrorist squad" which was preparing to fire an anti-tank missile at soldiers patrolling the border.
A direct hit was confirmed.
Israeli military vehicles entered the neighborhood and fired several shells into open areas, witnesses said. more
