GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Hamas on Tuesday claimed to have obtained documents it said proved Fatah’s involvement in an incitement campaign against the movement in Egyptian media.
Hamas leader Salah Bardaweel presented the documents in a news conference in Gaza. He claimed they were issued by the Palestinian intelligence, its embassy in Cairo, and some Fatah leaders to fabricate false news in the Egyptian media to embroil Hamas in Egypt’s turmoil.
Hamas refused to explain how it obtained the documents, which included instructions on creating news about Hamas killing and kidnapping Egyptian soldiers, participating in the fighting in Sinai, involvement with Salafist parties and supporting the Muslim Brotherhood in the aftermath of protests that led to the ouster of President Muhammad Mursi. more
