Israeli soldiers stationed across the border with Gaza fired a number of shells into an area, east of Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The attack came after a Palestinian was killed, and another was injured in the area.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli tanks fired at least four shells, while the soldiers fired dozens of rounds of live ammunition in addition to firing flares.
The shells landed and detonated in Bayyaret Al-Basha (Pasha Orchard), east of Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
