GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities closed the Kerem Shalom crossing with the Gaza Strip on Monday, having briefly reopened it earlier in the day.
Palestinian crossings official Nathmi Muhanna told Ma'an that Israel prevented trucks from entering Gaza and declared the crossing closed.
Israel closed the both the Erez and Kerem Shalom crossing last Thursday, after three Israeli youths were reported missing from a settlement in the West Bank, but briefly reopened it early Monday.
A popular committee activist in Gaza, Jamal al-Khudari, said the frequent border closures exacerbate the humanitarian crisis for Gazans. more
