Palestinian travelers stranded in Egypt for weeks are expected to return to Gaza Monday as Rafah remains open for the second consecutive day.
The Palestinian crossings commission in Gaza said the terminal will operate from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., with some 238 Palestinians expected to return.
The crossing was open for two days last week after Egypt had kept it closed for over a month, leaving over 4,000 Palestinians stranded in Egypt and other countries.
Meanwhile, a Gaza crossings official told Ma'an that 400 trucks of goods, including humanitarian aid and construction materials, were expected to enter Gaza via the Israeli-controlled Kerem Shalom crossing on Monday.
Diesel fuel for industrial use and domestic-use gas are also expected to be shipped. more
