Civil servants at four ministries in the Gaza Strip went on strike Monday in protest over unpaid salaries, a local union said.
The head of Gaza's public employees union, Muhammad Siyam, told Ma'an that all civil servants were encouraged to join a sit-in protest in front of the Palestinian Legislative Council in Gaza City on Tuesday.
Employees at the labor, justice, women's affairs, and public work ministries have not received their monthly wages for nearly 12 months, he added. more
