A 22-year-old Palestinian died on Friday from wounds sustained a day earlier after being shot by Israeli soldiers in the Hebron district during clashes.
Palestinian security officials identified the man as Issa al-Shalaldah, 22. The Ministry of Health told Ma'an that a bullet shattered his spleen, large intestine, lung, and diaphragm during clashes at the Beit Einun junction in Sair on Thursday following the funeral of Abdullah Shalaldah, 28.
Issa died in the al-Ahli hospital on Friday.
Abdullah Shalaldah, a relative of Issa, was shot dead in the same hospital at dawn Thursday after undercover Israeli forces raided the facility.
Shalaldah, 28, was shot at least three times in the head and upper body while visiting his cousin 20-year-old Azzam Azmi Shalaldah, who was a patient at the hospital.
“The fact that Abdullah Shalaldah was shot in the head and upper body suggests this was an extrajudicial execution, adding to a disturbing pattern of similar recent incidents by Israeli forces in the West Bank which warrant urgent investigation,” said Philip Luther, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Programme at Amnesty International. more
