Palestinian shot dead near Ramallah after alleged attack on settler

A Palestinian was shot dead near Ramallah after allegedly attacking an Israeli soldier and settler near the illegal Adam settlement in the Ramallah district.

The suspect reportedly stabbed a settler in the neck near the settlement and was shot dead by Israeli forces, Israeli police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said. A second suspect was detained at the scene and the area was closed off, he added.

The 19-year-old settler was reportedly critically injured and taken to hospital for treatment. The suspect also stabbed a female Israeli soldier before being shot dead, Israeli media reported. more

Netanyahu's hatred of Arabs makes him absolve Hitler of Holocaust

Benjamin Netanyahu has placed the blame for the extermination of millions of Jewish people during World War II on the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, in a controversial speech.

The Israeli Prime Minister told the 37th World Zionist Congress this week that Nazi leader Adolf Hitler only wanted to expel the Jews - but was convinced to exterminate them by the Muslim leader, who died in 1974.

He said that the pair met in November 1941, and claimed: "Hitler didn't want to exterminate the Jews at the time, he wanted to expel the Jew. And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said, 'If you expel them, they'll all come here (to Palestine).' According to Netanyahu, Hitler then asked: "What should I do with them?" and the Mufti replied: "Burn them."

Mr Netanyahu has made similar claims in the past, including during a Knesset speech in 2012, where he described Husseini as "one of the leading architects" of the final solution, Haaretz reported. Others have detailed Husseini's influence on Hitler, yet the theory that Husseini was the one to initiate the mass murder of European Jews has been widely rejected. more

Israeli forces shoot, injure Palestinian girl, 15, in 'attack attempt'

Israeli forces early Wednesday morning shot and injured a Palestinian teen near the illegal Yitzhar settlement in the occupied West Bank claiming she was carrying a knife, a Palestinian official said.

Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian Authority official who monitors settlement activity in the northern West Bank, told Ma’an that Istabraq Ahmad Noor, 15, was shot after Israeli forces claimed she was planning to sneak into the settlement to stab residents inside.

The teenage girl is from the village of Madama south of Nablus, Daghlas added.

Israeli sources claimed the girl was 10 meters away from a fence surrounding the settlement when Israeli soldiers chased her and fired at her hand. She was reportedly caught 300 meters from the fence and evacuated to a hospital. more
