GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- An Israeli airstrike on Friday killed one man in the central Gaza Strip, medics said.
Israel warplanes bombed an area east of al-Bureij camp, signaling an end to an Egyptian-brokered truce reached Wednesday.
Qassem Abdullah Ahmed, 24, was killed and two people were injured in the strike, Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra said.
The Israeli military said in a statement that it hit "a terrorist squad during preparations to fire a rocket at Israel from the central Gaza Strip."
The Popular Resistance Committees said the man killed in the attack belonged to their group.
Earlier Friday, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said it fired four rockets at Israeli targets. more
