BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Five Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on northern and southern Gaza Wednesday evening, bringing the total death toll in Gaza to 53, medical officials said.
An Israeli airstrike struck the Hamad family home in Beit Hanoun, killing Hani Saleh Hamad, 57, and Ibrahim Hamad, 20.
Five members of the same family were killed late Tuesday as Israeli warplanes bombed the home of senior Islamic Jihad militant Hafiz Hamad in the same area.
Another airstrike in Rafah killed Samia al-Arja, 65, and a unidentified child later died from injuries sustained in the strike.
The latest airstrikes bring the total death toll in Gaza to 53, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. Over 450 Palestinians have been injured in the attacks. more
