GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian from the southern Gaza Strip died Saturday of wounds sustained in Israel's recent assault on Gaza, medical sources said.
Palestinian medics identified the man as Jamal Abu Libdeh, 50, from the Khan Younis district.
Abu Libdeh was wounded when Israeli forces struck an area outside his home in the village of Bani Suhaila. He was taken to Gaza's European hospital.
Nearly 2,200 Palestinians, mostly civilians, were killed in Israel's five-week war on the besieged coastal enclave and some 11,000 were injured. more
