Israeli military vehicles entered into the besieged Gaza Strip “buffer zone” on Thursday and levelled lands south of the Bureij refugee camp, Palestinian sources said. Palestinian security sources and eyewitnesses reported that Israeli vehicles entered the central Gaza Strip early on Thursday morning and leveled lands dozens of meters within the blockaded Palestinian territory. They added that Israeli surveillance aircrafts were flying over the area. An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an they were looking into the reports. more

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Several Israeli military vehicles Wednesday morning entered northeastern Rafah City in the southern Gaza Strip and proceeded to level lands near the border. Witnesses said that four Israeli military bulldozers entered some 50 meters into Palestinian lands from the Sufah military site between the districts of Rafah and Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. The bulldozers reportedly leveled lands near the border. No shootings were reported. An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an she would look into reports on the incident. Israeli bulldozers raided al-Bureij refugee camp and leveled lands in the central Gaza Strip district of Deir Al-Balah Wednesday morning. Witnesses told Ma’an that four Israeli bulldozers crossed into the Gaza Strip from Israel and raided the east side of the camp as Israeli drones flew overhead. Witnesses added that Israeli soldiers randomly opened fire, though no injuries were reported. An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an they were looking into reports of the incident. Israeli military vehicles staged a limited incursion across the borderline of the besieged Gaza Strip to level land on Monday morning, locals said. Locals told Ma’an that six Israeli military vehicles crossed the Abu Rida gate at the border east of the town of Khuzaa in the southern Gaza Strip and leveled Palestinian land in the area. An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an they were looking into the reports. Israeli soldiers invade farmlands in southern Gaza

Several Israeli military vehicles invaded, on Monday at dawn, Palestinian agricultural lands, east of Khan Younis city, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Eyewitnesses said four Israeli tanks, and three bulldozers, advanced more than 150 meters into the Palestinian lands, bulldozed some of them, and installed sand hills, close to the border fence. They added that the Israeli vehicles came from the Kissufim military base, across the border fence, and fired many smoke bombs during the invasion. The invasion is part of repeated Israeli violations targeting the Palestinians and their lands in border areas, in the northern and eastern parts of the coastal region. more

Israeli forces open fire on fishermen, farmers, and level lands in Gaza

A Palestinian was injured after Israeli naval forces on Tuesday opened fire on fishermen, detaining four and confiscating their boats, as Israeli forces also opened fire on farmers and leveled lands elsewhere in the Gaza Strip. The detained fishermen were identified as Hasan Miqdad, Bashir Abu Riyala, and his brothers Khalid and Rajab, according to Nizar Ayyash, speaker of the union of fisherman in the Gaza Strip. An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that two boats diverted from the designated fishing zone off the coast of Gaza City, as the army ordered them to turn back. However, the fishermen continued to sail and Israeli soldiers fired warning shots into the air before detaining the fishermen for questioning. The spokesperson added that one Palestinian was injured during the incident and evacuated to a hospital. Israeli army vehicles crossed the border fence into the besieged Gaza Strip early on Monday morning to level lands, witnesses told Ma’an. The eyewitnesses said Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers coming from the Sufa military base entered private Palestinian lands east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. Bulldozers reportedly levelled lands approximately 50 meters into Gaza while Israeli jets hovered in the sky. No gunfire was reported. Meanwhile in the northern Gaza Strip, witnesses said that Israeli forces launched a surveillance balloon near the town of Beit Hanoun while fighter jets flew over the area. Explosive device detonates under Israeli bulldozer in Gaza

An explosive device detonated under an armored Israeli bulldozer on the Palestinian side of the borderline between the Gaza Strip and Israel on Friday, the Israeli army said. An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that a D-9 bulldozer from the Israeli military’s engineering unit was performing “routine activity” near the border in the southern end of the strip when the device detonated as the bulldozer drove over it. No injuries were reported. Israeli military forces enter the Gaza Strip on a regular basis, most often in the Israeli-enforced “buffer zone” on both land and sea side of the besieged enclave. Israeli soldiers opened fire on Palestinian shepherds and several Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers entered the Palestinian side of the borderline between the Gaza Strip and Israel on Tuesday, locals said. Locals told Ma’an that soldiers fired live ammunition at a group of shepherds while their sheep were grazing in al-Fakhari east of Khan Yunis in the southern area of the besieged enclave. No casualties were reported. Northwest of Beit Lahiya in the north of the strip, witnesses said five large armored bulldozers leveled Palestinian lands near the border fence. Witnesses also said four bulldozers entered through the border fence from Kissufim military post onto Palestinian land east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip No gunfire was reported during either bulldozer incursion. more

Israeli forces level agricultural land inside Gaza Strip

Israeli forces on Thursday morning crossed the border fence between Israel and the southern Gaza Strip with bulldozers and "leveled" agricultural land in the area, locals said. Locals said Israeli forces entered the area along the al-Farahin and al-Qarara neighborhoods of the Gaza strip a few hundred meters inside the border fence and began flattening the ground there with bulldozers, and removing visual obstructions such as trees and bushes. The forces, locals said, fired gunshots into the air and created smokes screens to conceal their activities. Locals added that Israeli drones hovered over the area during the Israeli military operation. An Israeli army spokesperson did not immediately respond for comment. more
