Witnesses: Israeli army vehicles breach Gaza border

GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- Witnesses said Israeli military vehicles crossed the border into the Gaza Strip near Khan Younis on Monday morning.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said forces were carrying out "routine activity" in the area.

Eyewitnesses told Ma'an the vehicles came several hundred meters into Gaza territory and were scanning the area.

Israel's recent 8-day war on Gaza ended with a ceasefire on Nov. 21, which included a pledge to end incursions into Gaza's territory. more
